Dark Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:
2 cupsBoiling water
1 cupUnsweetened cocoa powder
2 3/4 cupsAll-purpose flour
2 tspBaking soda
1/2 tspBaking powder
1/2 tspSalt
1 cupButter (softened)
2 1/4 cupsWhite sugar
4Eggs
1 1/2 tspVanilla extract

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease 3 9-inch round cake pans.

In medium bowl, pour boiling water over cocoa, and whisk until smooth. Let mixture cool.

In a seperate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat egggs in one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Add the flour mixture, alternating with cocoa mixture. Spread batter evenly between the 3 prepared pans.

Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Allow to cool.


Note: Cake is sticky, grease pans well, and use baking parchment on the bottom of the pans!
